This week, for a change, I wasn’t the one dragging my husband to a fashion event – he came willingly, and for good reason too. It was an event hosted by Los Angeles magazine and Feldmar Watch Company, to unveil the Girard-Perregaux Constant Escapement – the first ever constant force watch. Not to get too technical, but it basically results in a pretty phenomenal spectrum of a watch with perfect chronometry – or timekeeping in layman’s terms.
What’s more, for the month of June 10% of all proceeds of Girard-Perregaux sales will be donated to Concern Foundation for cancer research. If I happened to have a spare $100K lying around, you better believe I’d be tempted to drop some serious dough for a great cause. But at least now I’ll have an excuse for being fashionably late…
