Last month I had the pleasure of filming three segments for ABC13 with my friend/reporter Rebecca Spera – “Wardrobe Transition Pieces,” “Closet Cleanout,” and “Five Minute Makeup Hacks.” If you’re a local Houstonian, then you might have caught the first segment this past Wed afternoon. I modeled four different looks that are perfect for when you’re either in between sizes from just having a baby or on a weight loss journey. Either way, finding the right outfits for your changing body can seem daunting and take the fun out of shopping. So, I was asked to style versatile looks that are perfect for day or night, dressy or casual, and what must-have pieces you can pull from your wardrobe to get you through this transition.
Total side note – can I just tell you how weird it is to finally hear how your voice sounds? Like really hear it. Some people already know that I was a theatre actor for many years, but nothing quite prepares you for what it’s like seeing and hearing yourself on TV. This wasn’t the first time I’ve filmed something for ABC13 (see Cook2Learn Academy), but it is the first time I’ve been asked to style and model topics that I would typically just blog about. I have to say that it was truly the best day ever, and I may just be hooked. I love that it’s yet another way for me to reach people and share my take on style and beauty. Check out the video for the segment below, or you can read the full story here!

Great article! I really like the versatility of the maxi dress. An oversized knit is also fabulous and universal. And leggings are the best in the fall and winter. These were fun tips and a great read!
