It’s crazy to me to think that we’ve lived in our little fixer upper for nearly a year and half now. We’ve pretty much finished all of the major work we wanted to do on the house, including some outside lighting that my hubs just installed. It’s pretty amazing what a big impact a small thing like lighting can make on a home, and we actually wish we’d done it sooner. In fact, we were just saying how it’s got to be our favorite thing we’ve done that gave us the most bang for our buck. It’s funny the things you start paying attention to once you’re a homeowner. Ever since we moved from a 1 BR apt in LA to our first home in the suburbs of Houston, I’ve come to appreciate the fine art of saving money. One way that’s been the easiest, is saving on those home essentials that you know you’ll always need like toilet paper/paper towels. My favorite products are Scott and I love that you can conveniently buy them at Amazon.com and have them shipped directly to your door step. We call that a “mom win.”
I never thought I’d consider choosing the perfect toilet paper among one of my many roles as a mom, but I gotta say – it’s definitely in the top 10. So I was super excited when Scott came out with their new Scott ComfortPlus that you can buy on Amazon and save $1.50 + up to 15% and free shipping with Subscribe & Save. Now you can finally do some much needed basket-building and purchase Scott ComfortPlus Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, and Flushable Wipes. Not to mention, with the launch, Scott is offering shoppers the chance to win an all-expense paid trip to the NASCAR race of your choice in 2018 or 2019. I know a certain four year old who’s got his fingers and toes crossed for that one 🙂
Speaking of, if you thought you went through toilet paper fast before kids, just wait. All that changes when you have a tiny human learning his way around the bathroom, and thinks that it takes 242 sheets of Scott no matter how many times you’ve told him just a few will do the trick. Eventually you just give up and accept your new role as “master booty wiper,” and hearing “Mommyyyyy, I’m ready for you to wipe meeee!!” yelled from his bathroom of choice at the moment. That’s another thing – they can’t just pick one toilet, even when you give them their very own bathroom. Nope, my little guy went through a phase where he insisted on peeing only in our master bathroom, all the way in the back of the house, because he loved the way it looked. I mean, it was a pretty awesome reno, but still – really kid, you couldn’t just go in the half bath at the front of the house?? Oh and don’t get me started on what it’s like to have a baby now roaming the halls from bathroom to bathroom, stealing, unraveling and sometimes eating toilet paper right off the rack. If I had a dollar for every time I caught her in the act of TP eating, I’d be one rich mama 🙂
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing the savings
It’s been so great ever since my second baby came along ?
We had the same shock moving from an LA-OC apartment to a home in the Chicago ‘burbs. Having space is great… but it’s a lot to fill and clean, isn’t it?!!
Oh crazy that y’all had the same kinda move like we did! It really is such a change and we keep joking like – how did we go from a 1 BR to a 4 BR home and have so much stuff?? Not the kind of stuff you want either – just junk ?
We do the same thing and stock up on the essentials like this. With 3 busy kids, it is nice to know that there is always a supply waiting for us. What a little doll you have!
Yes! It’s so key when you have a big family – no one wants to run outta tp ?? Aw thank you!!
I have Scott toilet paper on subscribe and save from Amazon too! I love that I don’t have to worry about buying it at the store. It just shows up!
Awesome! I seriously can’t think of a better invention ?
We love some Amazon Prime and the subscribe and save is amazing!! Great post!!
Yay!! I don’t know what moms did before Amazon ?
Oh yes, we totally do the same! Thank goodness for Amazon!
Right?!? Seriously, it’s the only way to buy home essentials ?
We love amazon prime it saves us.
Right?? How did we ever exist without it haha 🙂
