This past Memorial Day weekend was our 3 year wedding anniversary – but before we could sail down the 5 to San Diego (little joke for anyone who’s taken the 5 on a holiday weekend, or any day of the week for that matter heading south)…I had to tackle what to wear to a day meeting and event at night for the magazine.
In these situations, it’s like a mini style challenge – how to put together an outfit to take you from day to night? Fortunately I had just found an off-white blazer that I’d had feelers out for over the past few weeks, and decided this season’s black and white trend would do the trick.
Blazer: Anat B. Beverly Hills boutique (comes in multiple colors). Pants: Calvin Klein. Blouse: Old Navy (this chiffon top would also be cute). Sandals: Halogen (love these Zara versions here and here). Jewelry: Jewelmint ring, Michael Kors watch, Ron Herman studded bracelet
Needless to say, Grant and I couldn’t help ourselves from quoting Anchorman all the way to San Diego – our favorite being Ron Burgundy’s infamous made up meaning of San Diego, as that of a particular “body part” of a female ocean mammal…Here are just a few photos from our last day spent on the beautiful Coronado Island.
you stay classy San Diego
Striped Boat Neck Top: H&M (also at J.Crew and Old Navy). Jeans: Zara. Sandals: Seychelles (not shown). Sunnies: Ralph Lauren.
