CH2T Covets: Baby Registry Must-Have From a 2nd Time Mom

To try and “momsplain,” as I like to say, all that I’ve learned since having my first child three and a half years ago – would quite possibly need a blog dedicated all to itself. I’d call it “You Know Nothing, First-Time Mom” (where all my GOT fans at??). Enticing idea, but instead I’ve decided to do a little run-down of my single favorite baby registry must-have that just might get you through those second (or third, or fourth) baby blues.

CH2T Covets: Bump Update

Fresh off a glorious babymoon, I thought it would be fitting to do a bump update since it’s been a couple months, and I haven’t whined at you in a while ūüėČ J/K, this pregnancy has been fairly uneventful, other than the horrible sinus infection and lovely acne that seems to be way worse with this one – thanks girl. So here goes –

CH2T Covets: Holiday Edition

I’m excited this year to finally be doing a Holiday Edition of CH2T Covets! Since I know outfits don‚Äôt just throw themselves together, I’ve listed some tips below to help guide some of your style and gifting choices for the holiday season upon us.

I’ve also featured my most recent addition to the CH2T accessories family – an uber cool JORD wood watch that I’ve paired with¬†a Thanksgiving, Holiday party, and Christmas¬†look. And you’re in luck my friends because I’ve partnered with¬†JORD to offer y’all a Holiday Giveaway. Every person who enters will be instantly emailed a $25 e-gift code to use on their site! CH2T Covets: Well Vested

I can’t recall exactly when my obsession with vests started, but it’s the real deal. You know when someone tells you something you’ve never heard about or¬†seen before, and then all the sudden you start seeing it e-ver-y-where? Yah, it’s like that.

In fact, I never knew there were so many different styles of vests. My favorite are the¬†structured suit type¬†and¬†long duster, that add a level of sophistication to even the most basic of¬†outfits. Although, I feel like there’s still a stigma when you say “vest”, that invokes images of Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. So I’m here to set the record straight with my top finds that I’ve been gathering for you fine folks. If you don’t see something you like here – I’ve partnered with the new Donde Fashion app, an icon-based platform that¬†allows you to search more than 6,000 brands by simply selecting the clothing type, color, material, etc. Think of it as Pinterest, but even more addictive for major shopaholics. Check out my Style Council feature on their blog, and download¬†the app¬†for free in the App Store. Search and follow my feed (cammeomurray) to shop my¬†Wishlist of vests, right meow.

CH2T Covets: I Spy Espadrilles

I spy with my little eye…espadrilles, espadrilles, and more espadrilles. I’ve honestly never been a huge fan of the espadrille sandal. I think the last time I owned a pair was in the 90s, and I was pretty content to leave them there – but that was before “The Great Espadrille Takeover of 2015.” I mean seriously, it’s everywhere (amirite?). Now, I’m not one to jump on just any bandwagon trend, especially when it comes to my shoes – but you can’t¬†deny the cuteness factor of the new wave of espadrilles. Flats, this is.

CH2T Covets: Slip-on Sneakers Galore

Just when I finally get comfortable with my self-imposed “shopping hiatus” – bam, out of the blue¬†another trend blindsides me. So here I am again, struggling with the urge to add yet another pair of shoes to my already “bursting at the seams” closet. Unless you’ve been living under a very large rock (hey, I don’t judge – I’m a mom, I pretty much live in the stone age),¬†you’ve probably¬†seen the latest trend in sneakers –¬†slip-on, that is.

So I¬†tell myself –¬†at least¬†slip-on sneakers are practical right? You slip em on, slip em off – how much easier does it get? I realize you may not be sold (shocker),¬†so I’ve curated a few of my top picks.¬†They also come in nude, leopard print or calf hair,¬†but¬†I’m partial to the black leather look this chic lady is sporting below. I’ve managed to narrow it down to perforated vs. quilted – which sounds more like a toilet paper choice than shoe selection. Which actually just gave me an epiphany – quilted is way better, done and done…

CH2T Covets: Boys Will Be Boys

I’ve always had a healthy appreciation for baby clothes and shoes (husband translation: she has a major baby shoe fetish). So when I found out last year that¬†we were expecting our first child,¬†I’m not gonna lie,¬†dressing her/him up everyday was something I couldn’t help but get excited about. In fact, I remember being so¬†relieved leaving my 12-week appointment that I marched myself across the street to the¬†H&M at the Beverly Center – which happens to have a hidden mecca of baby clothes that were just waiting for me to snatch them up.

CH2T Covets: Zara Mommy Blogger Collab

That’s it, I’m convinced, Zara is determined to take over my life and the world as I know it. It’s bad enough that¬†they tempt me with every new collection, but really, they just had to go and create the cutest mini-clothes ever. Their latest Brothers & Sisters collab with mommy bloggers pinksugarland, ohjoy, and mokkasin seriously makes me consider popping out 10 more kids (sorry for the visual)¬†just so I can outfit them in these amazing duds.

Here are just a few of my picks from the collection – a polka dot denim jumpsuit,¬†I mean…

CH2T Covets: A New Wave of Pastels

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

From sheer to shiny, pastels are Spring‚Äôs most versatile trend. After being seen across nearly every collection at NYFW ‚Äď Lupita N’yongo solidified it with her “Nairobi Blue” gown at this year’s Oscars. Now, if you’re like me you’ve probably admired the look on others, but have steered clear for fear of evoking more of an “Easter Bunny chic” motif. Yet with a whole new crop of designers embracing the trend, pastels are less to be feared now than ever before. Here are just a few ensembles to wet your pastel palette – whether you’re looking for one key piece, or ready to commit from head to toe (but let’s not get carried away now).
